Gregory Rosenbauer

Chief Executive Officer

 

Gregory brings nearly three decades of expertise in high-performance athlete care. After graduating from the University of South Australia, Gregory began his career as Head Physiotherapist at Lord’s Cricket Ground. Upon returning to Australia, he continued his work in elite cricket, holding roles with Cricket Australia and the South Australian Cricket Association.

Gregory transitioned into high-performance golf physiotherapy. He currently serves as a consultant physiotherapist for Golf Australia, the Japan Golf Association and the Japan Olympic Golf Team. He has also lectured internationally on golf-specific physiotherapy and high-performance strategies, sharing his knowledge with healthcare and sports professionals around the globe.

Beyond the sports field, Gregory is the founder and owner of a thriving allied health business. His practice serves diverse community needs, from elite sports and musculoskeletal injuries to neurological and disability care, as well as ageing assessments and management.

 

James McLoughlin

Head of Academia & Research

 

James is an accomplished Neurological Physiotherapist with extensive expertise in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation. With degrees in Physiotherapy (UniSA) and Clinical Neuroscience (University College London), he completed a PhD in balance and gait at the University of New South Wales. James has held notable roles, including Clinical Specialist in Neurology at St George’s Hospital, London, and Director of Advanced Neuro Rehab since 2005.

James is actively involved in balance and human movement research through institutions such as Queen Square (London) and Neuroscience Research Australia. As an Associate Professor at Flinders University, he designed Neurological Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Masters programs. A passionate educator, James has delivered over 50 professional development courses and is a sought-after speaker globally.

James describes himself as “a great scavenger of information,” and his dedication to translating complex research into practical applications makes him a sought-after educator in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation.

David Bartlett

Chief Operating Officer

 

David is a highly skilled physiotherapist holding a BSc (Hons) from the University of Nottingham and an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Queen Mary University London.

Starting in academy football with Arsenal Women and Tottenham Hotspurs, he went on to join Middlesex Cricket, where he honed his expertise in athlete rehabilitation and performance before becoming Head of Medical at Gloucestershire CCC.

David continues to serve as Men’s Team Physiotherapist for Welsh Fire in The Hundred competition.

In 2023/24, David expanded his work to develop and deliver brain health education to Premier League football clubs, advocating for improved concussion care and promoting the updated guidance on high force headers.

At Your Brain Health, David is instrumental in building our network of clinicians to deliver evidence-based strategies. Dedicated to fostering environments where athletes and staff thrive, David continues to champion wellbeing and performance.

Liz Jemson Ledger

Associate Director of Education & Clinical Implementation

 

Liz is a leading neurological physiotherapist with over a decade of experience in brain injury and concussion rehabilitation. As Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at Advanced Neuro Rehab and Associate Director of Education at Your Brain Health, Liz is dedicated to improving concussion care through innovative clinical practice and education.

Liz’s passion for rehabilitation began in an acute brain injury unit, inspiring her focus on concussion and vestibular conditions. With a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Master’s in Neurological Physiotherapy, Liz has contributed to pioneering baseline concussion testing, interdisciplinary care networks, and research into neck function and fatigue in concussion recovery.

A dynamic educator, Liz co-developed a comprehensive 10+ hour online learning resource for healthcare professionals and regularly presents at workshops and conferences. Her approachable, engaging style makes complex topics accessible, empowering clinicians and patients alike.

Liz’s work bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world application, ensuring concussion management is practical, effective, and patient-centered.

Nicola Hunt

UK Education Lead

 

Nicola is a highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years of expertise in brain injury, concussion, and vestibular rehabilitation. Driven by a passion for helping clients achieve their optimal recovery, Nicola has worked extensively with both professional and amateur athletes, as well as within medico-legal rehabilitation.

Combining her clinical skills with cutting-edge technology, Nicola integrates tools like Neuroflex into her multimodal, evidence-based concussion assessment and rehabilitation programs. Since 2023, she has leveraged these advancements to deliver precise, objective care and exceptional outcomes for her clients.

A sought-after speaker, Nicola has presented at conferences for therapists, case managers, and solicitors, and guest lectured at universities. She is also recognized for developing and delivering practical courses designed to enhance clinician expertise in brain injury care.

Outside of her thriving practice, Nicola enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog, cycling, paddleboarding, and climbing—an active lifestyle that reflects her dedication to health and wellbeing.

Simon Shepard

Simon is the CEO of Optima-life, an innovative organisation that fuses data with expertise from sport, health, and business to develop high-performing teams. Beginning his career at Lord’s Cricket Ground in 1991, Simon spent over 25 years as Head of Health & Performance for Middlesex CCC and MCC, honing his ability to optimise individual and team potential.

With a methodical approach backed by over 1.5 billion data points, Simon helps organisations assess and enhance performance behaviours through his concept of Key Human Performance Indicators (KHPIs). Over the past decade, he has worked with businesses that value their people and seek to elevate effectiveness at both individual and team levels.

Simon is also the author of The Battle for Balance, an Amazon top-five bestseller, where he shares his insights on achieving optimal performance and wellbeing.

 

 

Jon Patricios

Professor Jon Patricios is a globally recognised leader in sports medicine. He is the Director of Waterfall Sports Orthopaedic Surgery in Johannesburg and a Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he leads the Wits Sport and Health (WiSH) Research Group. He holds fellowships in sport and exercise medicine from South Africa, the UK, and Ireland.

Jon is the founder of Sports Concussion South Africa and a concussion consultant to World Rugby. He is a board member of the international Concussion in Sport Group and Co-chair of the International Consensus Conference on Concussion in Sport, co-authoring the 2023 International Consensus Statement on Concussion in Sport. He has advised FIFA, UEFA, and the NFL on concussion management and injury prevention.

An editor for the British Journal of Sports Medicine and former President of SASMA, Jon has authored over 130 research papers, shaping the future of athlete health and safety.

Sam Peters

Sam is an award-winning journalist and media campaigner with 19 years of experience working across national newspapers. He is best known for spearheading The Mail on Sunday’s groundbreaking concussion campaign, which was shortlisted for the prestigious Cudlipp Prize in 2014.

In 2023, Sam authored Concussed – Sport’s Uncomfortable Truth, an eye-opening exploration of the challenges surrounding concussion in sports. The book was shortlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year and went on to win the UK Sports Book Award for Outstanding Sports Writing.

Sam’s work continues to shine a spotlight on vital issues in sports, driving awareness and change, and in 2024 launched Concussed Media, an events and media business promoting safer participation in sport and improved brain health awareness.
